A Letter from Our Principal

Greetings!

   I am most happy to welcome you to Beech Mountain Elementary School's web site. It is my hope that you find the information about our students, school program, and community interesting and informative. 
   We at Beech Mountain Elementary are very proud of our students and school program. Our students, faculty, staff and community take great pride in the accomplishments of our students. It is with great parental and educational pride that we point to the continued growth over the past few years that has culminated in the recognition of "School of Excellence" designation this year.
   I wish to publicly thank those groups who made significant contributions to the success of the school. The Kiwanis Club of Banner Elk, Appalachian State University - Department of Curriculum and Instruction, Board of Education of Avery County, Beech Mountain Community Club, Beech Mountain PTO, and numerous volunteers who have helped to make our school successful. Thanks to all of you for your help.
