Directions for Students to Become
Modern Inventors:

Choose a partner to work with. In a box, labeled invention objects

choose an item that sparks your interest.
* With your partner's help, brainstorm items that the object resembles. Be creative!! There is no limit to what your item could be used for. This item will be your new invention and there is no limit to new inventions.
* Decide
what invention, or tool, your object could be used for. With a digital 
camera,
have a fellow classmate take you and your partner's picture using your
newly invented device. It is best to take more that one picture so that
you can use more than one and have a variety to choose from.
* Individually, write a newspaper article that advertises, or helps to sell, your item. You may want to write about the inventor, yourself, the history of the product, or how the product can be used, but do not limit yourself to these topics.
* We want all the world to see what great inventors you are! Using Netscape Navigator, you will type the newspaper add that you previously wrote and insert your digital photographs to make a web page that sells your invented product to everyone who surfs past your page.
