Story Pictures Assignment
Students
Grade 3
This activity will provide practice in the areas of writing and
computer skills. The end product will be a story narrated by you,
the student, and illustrated by the group of pictures provided from the
Internet. The first step is to open a word processing document.
Get on-line and go to <http://www.ltl.appstate.edu/436/>. Copy
these pictures and paste them on your word processing document. It
would be a good idea to save at this point. Write a rough draft of
your story that goes along with the pictures. The story should have
a plot, setting, and theme. Also include major and minor characters
and the character's goals. Use the options on the Tool bar to move
or adjust the size of the pictures (if necessary) so that they are in the
correct order and of the appropriate size to follow the story line.
Type the part of the story that goes with each illustration beneath that
picture. You may adjust the size and font of the text using the Tool
bar options. Save to a disk and turn in.
