Technology Portfolio

Context
This portfolio was created Fall of 2001 in CI 3750 (Integrating Media and Technology into Teaching).  My professor provided a template for me and I used Netscape Communicator to edit these pages.  I created links to my artifacts and organized my work in a fashion that I found useful.

Impact:
This portfolio is a great way for me to have my work and ideas organized so I can apply them in my classroom.  By using the internet and these different means of technology, I feel I have gained the ability to better communicate with not only my parents and students, but my community as well.  With the growing need for computer literacy, children need adults to demonstrate how to use cert ain aspects of technology, and this can serve as a basis for their understanding.  Also, in my professional development, this portfolio can serve as a foundation for my ongoing education.

Alignment
This portfolio meets Technology Standards IA and IB.  By knowing how to develop an online resource such as this, Standard IA demonstrates that I have maste red basic technology skills and understand concepts related to media.  Web page construction is an emerging skill and technology I can introduce to my classroom and my students.  Meeting standard IB demonstrates that I have stayed updated on current technologies and plan on continual growth in this area.
