In class we discussed copyright policies and how they pertain to us
as educators and to our students. We discussed that a copyright is
the right the author has to completely control his/her work whether it
is published or unpublished. We discussed and saw a power point presentation
on what is allowed for the Internet, information, photos, and other forms
of media to be copied and used. We also saw and discussed a slide
on the Fair Use Policy. The Fair Use Policy says: “You may use a
portion of a copyrighted work in its original form-not changed- without
the permission of the author if it is for the following purposes:
News Reporting and for Research and Education.”
