Class Blog
http://www.ltl.appstate.edu/carol/carolfeed.html

This is a discussion space that I have created with blogger software--WordPress.com. The class blog, CAROL Discussion Forum, I designed to communicate with the class, and I will post course information, comments, hints about blogging and finding instructional resources, etc. You should read this blog everyday and post questions or responses to the blog when necessary--this is how we will have class discussion.

Blogging will be the way that we communicate with each other, and you will post assignments (publish them) in your own blog. Each student's blog will have a feed to the CAROL Discussion Forum Class Blog page and can be viewed and accessed from this page; from this single page we can view the latest posts in each of our blogs, and if we click on a post we can visit that person's blog. So, you will be able to see all of your friend's blogs and comment on their posts. I want to introduce this communication tool to you so that you might consider ways to use it with your students when you begin teaching. I will also provide links to teachers who are already using it.

Many teachers are using blogs for teaching, and there are some great examples of classroom blogs.
I hope these examples inspire you to use blogging in your teaching.

Read, Write, Think

http://www.readwritethink.org/
is a very good resource for locating lessons that integrate content area instruction with language arts instruction. It has a very good search tool that will pull up high quality lesson plans.
