THE CHOCOLATE TOUCH BY Patrick Skene Catling
John Midas was a good kid but he had one little problem; he was a pig when it came to candy, especially chocolate. One day John finds an interesting coin on the street.  On his way to show his best friend, Susan, he passes a funny little candy shop.  The storekeeper, in exchange for the coin,  gives John a special box of chocolates.  When John gets home he opens the box to find only one piece of chocolate.  But this chocolate was magical, it turned everything to chocolate!  Till finally John tires of chocolate and accidentally turns his mother into chocolate.  John learns a valuable lesson on greediness, selfishness, and pigginess.
