             Russia's culture dates back 1600 centeury russia's got a lot of heritage. This is very special because it has very popular place's like Moscow.
Russia Orthodox
For the first ten decades. Christmas is now a national holiday in Russia. The Russian Orthodox Church celebrates Christmas January 7 with church services. As in all Russian Orthodox rituals, Christmas prayers are chanted and sung, not spoken. At Christmas time, Russian children look forward to the arrival of a men with a red suit and a long, white beard--Dyed Maroz, or Grandfather frost. Dyed Maroz brings presents on New Year's day
Religion
Under communism, the people of Russia and northern asia were forbidden to practice their religions or honor their ethnic traditions. In 1975 for example, the largest Russian Orthodox cathedral in st.  petersburg was was turned by the Communists into a Museum of atheism{a museum honoring the belief that there is no God}.
