BOOKS
Levine,
Mel. MD. All Kinds Of Minds
This book is written to help younger students understand the various types
of learning disabilities. It is a fictional account of a group of children
with
difficulties and how they come to deal with their problems. This would
be a great resource for teachers and students.
Osman,
Betty. No One To Play With
This book describes the problems that children must face when dealing with
learning disabilities including getting along with others and dealing with
family crisis. This would be appropriate material for a child struggling
with problems that make them different in the classroom.
Roby,
Cynthia. When Learning Is Tough
This book provides children's descriptions of their disabilities and how
they have learned to cope with them. Children with learning disabilities
will find this resource to be comforting and reassuring.
