Severe water shortages
continue to be a problem across the state. North Carolina, like many
areas across the country, continues to be below average in rainfall this
year and by observing this week's forecast, it does not look as if there
will be much rain in the near future. This continues to be a problem
for our state's farmers as they struggle with their summer crops.
However, a new device should be able to help the agricultural department
as well as other professions that depend on a adaquete supply of water.
This device, the Aqua Meter, has been used by a special test group for
the past year and is finally going to be put on the consumer market this
coming fall... just in time for planting that winter wheat!
The Aqua Meter, designed
by Benjamin Williams, is designed to seek out water deep within the surface
of the earth. It is unique from other water finding devices in that
it fits in the palm of your hand allowing you to bring it almost anywhere.
When asked about it's usefulness Benjamin Williams stated, "Nothing is
proven to work better!" Five hundred people around the world, in
several different professions ranging from farmer to well digger, have
been testing the Aqua Meter for the past two years and surprisingly enough
all but twenty-five reported being one hundred percent satisfied.
Those twenty-five participants reportedly had no problem with the Aqua
Meter; they simply prefer the "old fashioned ways." Water finders
have been used throughout the centuries. In previous years, special
sticks were used in an attempt to find this liquid that is a necessity
for life.
But what makes this new
device so special compared to the sticks of years ago? Some of the
special features of the Aqua Finder include the special leather carrying
case that is included in the package. This case includes a buttoned
flap, so that dirt will be unable to penetrate the metal components of
the Aqua Finder, and an easy carrying string that is even able to fit comfortably
around the average adult's neck. The Aqua Finder is used by an arrow
that increases in activity when close to an underground well or spring.
Mr. Williams has thought of everything because another feature of the Agua
Meter is a buzzer on the back which sounds at greater intensities when
one gets closer to a water source.
So mark your calendars
because while we may not be getting any rain in the near future you can
still find a much needed water source if you have this handy device.
And as Mr. Williams reminds consumers, "This is not just a product for
professional farmers and well drillers. This product is for the adventurer
as well. Would you ever want to be stranded in the Mohabi Desert
unable to find water?" I think that we all know the answer to that
question!
