In this assignment, students will be asked to choose an object and to write a short news       piece about the object they choose.  In it they need to include images using a digital camera.

When using pictures, be sure to teach students how to crop and resize images by using Adobe Photoshop, so that they are not to big on their webpage.  To crop a picture, first you draw a dotted box around the part that you want to be in your picture using the tools on the left.  Second, you go to Image on the tool bar and select crop.  It immediately crops the picture to be only what you selected in the box.  To change the size you also go to image and select image size.  This allows you to change the size of the picture to a good size that will fit on your web page.  Finally, you just save the picture and it will be changed so that it will be easier to work with for your webpages.

Next the students need to develop a set of two web pages that are linked together to publish your work for viewing by other students and teachers.
