    This assignment is an excellent project for students to develop writing skills, information skills, as well as in computer skills.  A fully detailed example is included for your information.

   To complete this assignment students will come up with a totally WACKY invention using an everyday object.  Examples can include a gear, tripod, a piece of a chair back, an auto lamp, or a fork.  Using Netscape Communicator students will create a web page.  The students will write a newspaper article describing their invention.  Have students take a digital photogragh of their object and include it within their web page.  When using pictures, be sure to tell students how to adjust and crop the size of their pictures using Adobe Photoshop so that they are not big on their web page.  Next, the students need to develop a set of web pages that are linked together to publish their work for viewing by other students and teachers.
