Student Instructions

1.    Pick another classmate to work with.  There should only be two people in a group.

2.    You and your partner walk to the back of the room and choose ONE object out of the Mystery Box.

3.    Decide on what the object can be used for.  Make sure it is not the original purpose.

4.    With your partner, write a short advertisement that could be published in a newspaper.  This can be a rough sketch.

5.    After the entire advertisement is written, together type up the advertisement.  Each student should type his own advertisement.  They may be the same or different, but each student needs to have his own to turn in.

6.    Print out the advertisements and retrieve them.  There should be two copies, one for you and one for your partner.

7.    Illustrate your advertisement.

8.    When everyone finishes, we will present these to the class.

Grading:  You will be grade on grammar, punctuation, completion of the assignment, organization, fluency in the article itself, and typing skills.
