Materials needed:  items, Adobe photoshop, Netscape Composer, disks for every student, digital camera

Activity:
1.  First students will get in groups and choose an item from the pile.

2.  They will then decide what the item is to be used as.
3.  With careful instruction, they will use the digital camera to take photos of themselves using the item.
4.  Adobe photoshop will be used to edit, crop, and manipulate the photos to the correct size.
5.  Students will put the project together by using some creative Language Arts skills.
6.  Each student (not each group) will write their own original newspaper article or other advertisement for their new product. This article should be thoughtful and show their creative side. It also should be well written. The student will use Netscape Navigator to create webpages.

Suggestions:
1.  Have students put links to their e-mail addresses so that you can provide them with feedback.
2.  This activity is also great for students with different abilities. For example, if you have a student who can't type on the       keyboard, someone else could help with that or if you have a student who has a learning disability, this project can easily be  modified for them.  This activity challenges everyone to be creative.
3.  Remember that you will need permission slips to post student pictures. Please e-mail me with questions.
