Computer Use Policy to be posted in the classroom.

Context
This policy was created as a resource to be used later in the classroom setting.  It was created using Microsoft Word 2000. It is a schedule for use of the computers available to one classroom of students. The policy also contains a list of rules to be followed while using the computer. There is a section of the policy for students to sign stating that they have read the policy and agree to abide by the rules and procedures in it.

Impact
I will use this computer use policy when I have a classroom of my own. I can either use the one I have created or modify it for the grade level and specific group of students I will be working with. I would use it to go by and have students assist me in developing a plan that they have a say in creating for their classroom. The rules already in the policy will defiantly be used and students will have an opportunity to come up with their own

Alignment
This artifact involves students and the teacher developing procedures and policies as a classroom project that will also serve as the rules and regulations for using the computers in their classroom, (Tech. Competency 14.1). This artifact also has a schedule giving each student equal access to the computer (Tech. Competency 14.2) By having the students work with the teacher to come up with the policy the students will gain a sense of social responsibility by developing their own rules for computer use, (INTASC #5
