These pages are only a few included in this English as a Second Language Notebook that contains information about these learners and their special needs as they learn English.  Below are notes about immigrant populations in the state of North Carolina.  It is important to look at the backgrounds of these learners to better serve their educational needs.  As with all children, parental involvement in their education is a necessity.  While instructing ESL students about American language and customs it also provides an opportunity to incorporate multiculturalism in the classroom.
