I was recently concerned about the lack of computer/technology use within Mabel Elementary School, and decided to conduct an interview about what was available and whether it was really a beneficial resource for the children.  I found that when a topic was introduced with the use of computers and appropriate related technologies, the level of understanding was dramatically increased when compared to a topic introduced without technology.  I explored how one goes about obtaining the use of the technologies and also how to find out what resources are available to you as a teacher.  Thanks to the preparation I received from my block, I feel very prepared to use, and teach with, the technologies that are available in most school districts.
