Just a note to introduce ourselves…

We are Kasey Owens and Casey Bowen from Appalachian State University.  We are very excited and eager to begin working in your child’s classroom as interns for the fall semester.  We are pleased to say that we will be joining the class on Wednesday’s for approximately 8 weeks and full-time starting November 11th.  Please feel free to talk with us or ask any questions concerning our involvement in your son/daughter’s classroom.  We are ready to learn and gain as much experience as possible before we begin our student teaching in the spring.  We appreciate any suggestions or comments you may have at any time. Kasey Owens-
I am from Wingate, NC.  I am an Elementary Education major with a concentration in Psychology.  I enjoy reading and spending time with friends and family.  I am involved in extra-curricular activities at ASU such as an Appalachian State University Ambassador and a Resident Assistant in Cone Hall.  I am really looking forward to working with Ms. Brookshire’s class this semester!

Casey Bowen-
I am from Belmont, NC.  This is my fifth year at Appalachian State University. I am an Elementary Education major with a concentration in Psychology.  I have one brother who is a sophomore at ASU.  I am involved in many extra-curricular activities on campus including Sigma Kappa Sorority, Gamma Beta Phi Honors Fraternity, and UREC Council.  I am a supervisor in the Intramural Department of University Recreation.  I enjoy running, playing sports, hanging out with my friends, and listening to music.  I am thoroughly excited about getting to know your child during my stay at Mabel Elementary School!
