Hello, my name is Brett Dabb and I am a senior at Appalachian State University studying elementary education. This semester I will be doing an internship in Mr. Watson’s classroom at Crossnore Elementary School. As an intern, I will be aiding your child in his/her classes every Wednesday until November 11th when I become a full-time intern. During my full-time internship, I will be in the classroom everyday assisting Mr. Watson. I have had wonderful experiences in the past working at a children's center in Wilmington, North Carolina with students your child's age. I also have tutored children in the third grade, as well as other elementary level students, in an after school program at Cove Creek Elementary School.
To tell you a little more about myself, I am twenty-two years old and come from a family of four. I am originally from Buffalo, New York, then later moved to Allentown, Pennsylvania, where we lived for a few years before packing our bags for a small town near Cape Cod, Massachusetts. A little over ten years ago, my family moved to Wilmington, North Carolina, where I now consider my home. My mother used to be a special education teacher at an elementary school. I learned at a young age to respect and appreciate the profession of teaching. I love children, and want to supply them with the best education that they can possibly obtain. I look forward to getting to know your child better, and hopefully getting to know you better as well.
Thank you,
Brett A. Dabb
