List of Television Resources



1. Channel One -  Channel One offers information on breaking news, sports, and other events that have happened around the world.  The news is geared toward school-aged students.  The website follows along with the television news.  So students can go to the web to follow up on information.

2. Public Broadcasting System - The PBS station is a great resource for teachers to find and share information with their students.  The website offers a wide variety of subjects for teachers to explore.  It also gives a schedule of shows so teachers could find out if a topic they wish to view will be shown on the station.

3. Discovery Channel - This resource offers teachers, students, and parents a chance to explore different ways in which the discovery channel can be used to enhance learning.

4. Animal Planet - Animal planet is a great resource to use when teachers want to teach about different varieties of animals.  The website offers teachers and students a chance to explore a wide variety of different animals, as well as, gives a schedule of when different animals will be aired on television.

5. Noggin -  Noggin TV offers polls, live chats, animations, and music.  Noggin offers Franklin and Sesame Street printouts, comedies, and a list of TV shows that could be integrated into the classroom.
