Description: The way a classroom is set up can affect the behavior of the class and how well you will be able to manage your classroom.  It can also show others how well you keep you students involved with activities going along with the subject being taught.  The set up of a classroom shows a lot about a teacher and how involved she wants to be in the classroom.
  •    My classroom set up will include a number of centers from math, science, and language to the silent corner for reading, the imagination and learning corner where they can use their imagination while on the computer, and the art corner (12.4).  Each center will have sign up sheets that have to be signed before entering that center.  This way everyone gets a turn at each center.
  •   With the academic centers one can chart a child's progress with math and how well a child understands the concept that is being taught.  This will help you see what you still need to go over again and concentrate more time on to make sure the students understand (12.5).
  •   In the silent corner, there will be a sign out sheet for children to take home books to read.  Over by the computer there will be a time sheet (30 minute time periods) for the students to sign so each person has a turn (14.2).
