Set up of Classroom

• Desks will be set up in groups of four so that all students are participating in a cooperative learning group throughout the day.  I will make sure that every child will be able to see the front of the room without having to strain their necks.

• Centers will placed behind the desks and against the walls.

• The teacher's desk will be in view of all students.

• Centers: Math, Writing, Art, Science, and Reading.

• The computer terminals will be located at the back ofthe classroom so that students may work independently or in groups and not distract the rest of the class.  The computers will be set up as a center as well.

• Some of the centers I have thought about include computer software useage.  To make sure that all students are having equal access to the software I would make sure each student was actively involved in one "computer center" each week.  Many software programs that I have been introduced to this semester would create  wonderful centers for diverse math

learners as well as diverse readers.
 
• Other centers will be set up according to the topics in various subjects that the students are studying.
