Specifics 
C)n the Log-in Screen, students can enter their User ID and password (assigned by the teacher) or select 'Guest. 
If students choose 'Guest,' they will be allowed to use The Rosetta Stone as they 
wish, bypassing the Student Management System. They can choose any chapter, Run Mode, etc. No information about their performance will be saved. 
When students enter their User ID and password, they enter the Student Management System. 
•  Students work through a sequence of Run Modes assigned by the teacher. Review chapters will be included in the sequence of chapters. 
•  Students must pass a Test with the level of proficiency designated by the teacher before they can proceed to new material. 
•  At the end of each chapter, students will be presented with a congratulatory message after completing the sequence of modes and achieving the necessary level of proficiency in the last mode. After this, they will continue with the next chapter in the sequence. 

•  The students' places in the sequence of modes/screens are saved so that when they log in for the next session, they will continue from where they left off. 
•  A record is saved for each run through a chapter, storing all information about the student's progress. 
Information from the Student Management System will be recorded on a central computer. The Student Management System Administrator can then be used for 
viewing this data and for setting up classes. 
0  A 'master' password allows the system supervisor to add new teachers and change passwords. 
6  Teachers can create multiple classes of students. They can assign User lDs as well as other demographic information for each student. 
6  Teachers can choose from pre-programmed tutorials or design their own 
tutorial sequences. These sequences can consist of any combination of The Rosetta Stone's 12 Run Modes. 
Access to the Browsers through the Run Mode Control Panel can be enabled or disabled for each mode in the sequence. in addition, the Delay option can be activated for any of the Run Modes. 
9  Teachers can modify the chapter sequence for a class or student. In this way, The Rosetta Stone can be tailored to existing textbooks and materials. 
o  Teachers can view, print, or export data from the system by class or student.
