DREAMMS for Kids Assistive Technology Clearinghouse is a site that helps to access technology that helps children with special needs.  It was founded by the parents of a child with Down's Syndrome.  Their resources are available for the use of parents, educators, and other professionals.

The Center for Creative Play of Children is a site that offers toys and educational tools that are available for children of all abilities.  There is information that would be beneficial to both parents and educators.  It includes general information on various disablities and disorders.

Dragonfly Toys is an online catalog for resources to aid children and adults with special needs.  It includes everything from books and print resources to toys and other manipulatives to develop various skills.  It has links to various manufacturers and only deals with non-profit organizations.

Included in this page is basic information that a person whether parent or educator might need to consider when working with students with special needs.  As a part of the page there is general information on which students might fall into the various "special needs" categories including hearing impaired and learning disabilities.  There are suggestions for uses of technology with these students and how that technology might benefit the student.
