Internship, Beech Mountain Elementary, Elk Park, NC, Fall 1999. Observed, assisted, and taught a  combined second and third grade class.
Title One tutor, Hardin Park, Boone, NC, 1997-1999.  Worked with a second/third grader in reading and  writing.  I was able to witness his prgress from a kindergarten to a fourth grade reading level.
Camp Counselor, Camp Friendship, Laytonsville, MD, 1998.  Supervised 17 girls ranging in ages from  seven to twelve.  This was a camp for children who either had cancer or were in remission.
