My name is Amanda Schwartz and I am an elementary education major at Appalachian State University. I am currently interning in your child’s fourth grade class and look forward to participating in many of his or her classroom activities! One of the assignments that I must complete during this experience asks me to conduct a series of student interviews and record them on audio and/or videocassette. I understand that some families feel strongly about having their children recorded and wish to obtain your permission before doing so.  The interviews in question will pertain to media influence on students at the fourth grade level and will address such issues as television programs and commercials, product packaging, and videogames.
