Your
job is to come up with 5 questions for today's section that your group
can discuss. You can include:
* MCEOG
* Figurative Language

Passage
Picker
Your
job is to find 4 passages from this section that you liked to share with
the rest of the group. For each passage, you must do the following:
1. Pick
out the passage
2. Write
down the page and paragraph number.
3. Write
down the first two and last two words of the passage.
4. Write
down the reason you chose this passage, and explain why.
5. Ask
a question about your passage and give an answer.
6. Write
down the Author's purpose (TO DESCRIBE, ENTERTAIN, INFORM or PERSUADE).
Word Wizard
Your
job is to find the following five words in the section you read for today.
The words you choose on your own should be words that you are not sure
of their exact definition. Be sure to note the page and paragraph
number of the words you choose.

2. Copy the sentence from the book in which it appears.
3. Look up the word in the dictionary.

Character
Sketcher
Your job is to
choose a character from today's section and create a character map that
includes the following:
* Three character traits with proof. Include the page and paragraph
where your proof came from.
* One of your character's goals
* One of your character's problems and one
solution to that problem.
* An illustration of your character.
Summarizer
Your
job is to prepare a brief summary of today's section. You should
be able to give a one to two minute statement that highlights the main
events in the reading. Write down several key points before you get
to the discussion so that you don't forget anything.
