My Teaching Philosophy
"Put yourself in the student's shoes and see if you would want yourself as a teacher."
Being a teacher requires linking a variety of concepts together then applying them to the classroom environment. The main concepts that I respect are creativity, patience, humor, intelligence, management skills, and many other tactics. My goal is to apply all these tactics to my teaching so that the students will be enthused to enter my classroom and learn.
As I look out the window of life, I see many dreams that I would like to
accomplish. My career as a teacher is one of my highlighted dreams. I have
already soaked up various strategies that I would like to apply to my future
classroom/s. I cannot explain the thrill that I have with working with
children. I feel that I have the gift of teaching that my mother has passed
on to me. She has been a teacher for more than thirty years and she is
still going strong. I would love to carry on the family tradition. I enjoy
making the students smile and knowing that I have made an impact in their
little lives.
Like I said before, being a teacher requires creativity, patience, humor,
intelligence, management skills, and many other tactics. My goal is to
apply all these tactics to my teaching so that the students will be enthused
to enter my classroom and learn.
Patience is a skill that I wish to maintain during my teaching career.
I have heard many tales of teachers getting tired of teaching over just
a short while. Patience is the virtue that gets one through hard times.
I am not one to give up so easily. My ambition will be to stick with teaching
even when the going gets tough. Time will reveal that those hard times
were just events to expand my wisdom.
Humor is something that I cannot live without! I laugh at least fifty times
a day. That is what keeps me in good spirits. To be a good teacher a positive
mood is essential. If you find a funny way to teach, the students will
be eager to discover.
Creativity, what a benefit! I always think of new and exciting ways to
teach and integrate all subjects in some way. Finding various ways that
children can learn will give them a way to shine in a way that they learn
best. In conclusion being confident that they are learning in school and
that school is enjoyable!
Intelligence is very significant as well. You want to project an image
of wisdom to students so that they will be confident that their teacher
is giving them correct information.
Another important aspect is management skills. During my teaching years
another big goal will be to conduct my class with stern kindness. I will
be consistent with my discipline and expectations of my students. Although
I will be firm, it will be in a compassionate way. I think that you start
classroom management in a manner that will remain throughout the year.
It will be very difficult to start out undemanding and then become strict;
the students will not respect you.
I cannot express how tickled I am to be starting a career in education.
My first day of teaching a class will be here before I know it. I am confident
that I will be a unique teacher and the many students that I teach will
have warmhearted memories of me.
