Today in class, we talked about computer ethics and proper etiquette when it comes to using the Internet. We broke into groups of three and were handed a scenario. We acted them out according to what we understood it said and the rest of the class had to tell us what was illegal about it. My particular group had a scenario dealing with chain letters. I basically told them I had found a chain letter and they had to check it out. They immediately shot me down and told me how wrong it was, not to mention rude and annoying. The activity generally showed us for one, what are some things that are illegal to do with a computer, why they are illegal, and to what extent should you take them seriously.
