USDA'S Agriculture Fact Book 1998 This is the latest release from the United States Department of Agriculture Office of Communications.The factbook contains essays, charts, tables, and maps that discuss the various aspects of US agriculture and answers questions about what Americans eat and what it costs, the structure of U.S. agriculture, rural America, USDA officials, and more.

USDA-NASS Agricultural Statistics 2001 Agricultural Statistics is published each year to meet the diverse need for a reliable reference book on agricultural production, supplies, consumption, facilities, costs, and returns.

USDA's Homepage This website lists today's features and top stories involving current legislature and happenings with our countries' agricultural status. The page offers information on news releases, bills, events and issues. Click on the link to the USDA's Kid's Page. This is a fantastic page that lists many sites for children to learn about the history of agriculture, gardening, animals, farming, conservation, natural resources and much more.

Farms Around the World lists how classrooms have used an example of a "Flat Stanley" project that incorporates farms from around the world to participate in the study of agriculture and daily farm life in the classroom. Great idea!
