Artful Artist

Your job is to draw a picture that illustrates what you liked best about the story.

Draw your picture on the paper that is provided by your teacher.

After finishing your picture, write about you drawing. Include in your response:
-who or what my picture is about
-where my my picture takes place
-when it is happening
-why I drew it

Plan for sharing:
-Don't tell the group what your drawing is.
-Let them guess how it goes with the story.
-Your group should discuss your picture before you talk about it.

About my drawing: I drew a picture of the bridge that much of this section takes place. I included rain and fog because that is how Mildred Taylor described it. I also chose to make the planks on the bridge look rugged and old. This picture is supposed to depict the bridge before the bus drove off of it. I drew this ominous picture because it was the picture that I imagined while reading most of this section.
