Foreshadowing:

Read page 1.What do you think Max and Terry are up to?How do you think they will play a part in the story?Do you think they are good or bad? Why?

 p.1

Answer:I think Max and Terry are up to no good.I think that because they don’t seem too polite when they yell at one another and have the rock music blasting.Maybe they are some kind of criminals that will try to hurt the Landons.I think they might have a children in their van because they said that it should be making noise by now.

 Problem/Solution:

What is Ashley’s problem in this section? How was her problem solved?

 p.28 par. 2

Answer:Ashley is terrified that the bears will eat her in the park. She read Night of the Grizzlies and thinks that all bears act like that. Her problem is solved because Jack told their mom and dad that she read the book and was scared of bears.Ashleys mother explained to her that the bears in that book are not like the ones today.Bears are handled differently now. They like to stay away from humans and the Park does everything they can to keep it that way.

On My Own:
