Word Wizard Example

Your job is to complete your role sheet for the following words:
    -rapped (page 6, paragraph 4)
    -pannikin (page 31, paragraph 2)

Example One:

1. rapped (page 6, paragraph 4)

2. Sentence from the book in which the word appears:
    "When he said this, Mr. Corse rapped on his desk with his ruler; it was time for school to begin."

3.  Part of speech:
    -noun

My meaning:
    -to tap or hit something

4.  Dictionary definition:
    -a smart slight blow

5. Meaning to the story:
    -The word rapped helps the reader to know how the teacher gathered the students' attention.
