1.  What types of duties have you had in caring for a pet?

When caring for my grandparents’ dog, Lucy, I make sure that she has plenty of food and water.  I also take her outside to the bathroom periodically.  In addition, I pet, rub, and scratch her, as well as play games with her to ensure that she is active and healthy.

2.  How can you decipher the feelings and moods of animals?

Animals communicate their feelings through behaviors and actions.  For example, dogs often wag their tails and lick to show happiness, and they may bark or growl to communicate emotions of fear, anxiety, or anger.  To illustrate love or affection, dogs and cats may nuzzle against people or prompt people to rub or pet them.

3.  In what ways can you illustrate maturity and responsibility in daily situations?

To show maturity and responsibility in daily situations, individuals can be prompt to work or school, complete jobs, duties, or assignments thoroughly, and communicate in positive ways with colleagues and friends.
