This unit, based on the book Sun and Spoon by Kevin Henkes, contains five lesson plans. The reading level of this book is third grade, but is recommended for use at the end of the school year due to some challenging vocabulary.

(Blackberries in the Dark is recommended for a second grade reading level. Bridge to Terabithia is recommended for a fourth grade reading level.)
