The Journal of William Thomas Emerson by: Barry Denenberg

    This book is written in the form of a journal.  It is told by a boy (Will) who lived in 1774 during the pre-revolutionary war time period.  Through his eyes, he tells a story of his adventures and tribulations as a patriot.  It takes place in Boston and the beginnings of the revolution are beginning to occur.  Will is called upon to help the patriotic cause by helping British soldiers to escape the army.  He shows great courage as he is faced with many hardships.
