    A:  No it takes place in England, because on page 1, it mentions the street near the London Bridge.

    A: I would not talk back for fear that should would strike me or punish me in a harsh manner.  Even though she talks sassy to me, I would use my best communication manners. pages 14-19

        determined- because she tries to explain to the man that she wants to go on the next ship to Virginia and he say no one can look after them and then she says that she can and then he tells her no, they are too young and it would cost money to get someone to look after them and she says that she has money.  She never gives up when the man mentions something that will stop her from going to Virginia.

        mature- because she feels that it is her duty to tell her brother and sister that their mother is dead.

Goal:
Amanda wants her and her brother and sister to sail on a ship to Virginia to be with their father

Problem:
Amanda, Jemmy and Meg have ran away from where they live because the Mistress's son screams at Amanda for making his mother faint.  They run away for fear of their punishment if Mistress Trippett does not get better. After they run away the notice that they don't have a safe place to stay.

Possible Solution:
They could sneak back to the Mistress's house and sleep in the garden or they could find a friend's house and stay there for the night.
