A Medieval Feast
The social roles of people in medieval
times, like those we have just read about, (i.e., king, queen, serf,
squire, etc.) are dropped into a hat. The students pick a role from
the hat. They must play the role they have selected at the feast.
Research for each role should be completed by the student. For example,
the court musician should research what type of music was played and how
they dressed; a queen should research entering a room, manners, and dress.
The feast should also be researched, as well as table manners and etiquette.
Students should dress and act according to their role. On the day
of the feast, a processional should announce the arrival of the dignitaries
in attendance. The feast will commence in medieval fashion.
