Connector

Your job is to connect the story with something that has happened in your life. You will need to write it down and share with your group. You will also need to get your group sharing about things that they can also connect with the story.

In this second section that we have read Laura and Mary disobey there father and continue to something he told them not. I remember when I was in third grade my sister and I kept jumping into the piles of leaves that my father and mother had racked up in the back yard. We would run and jump and roll around in them. My dad had told us a number of times to stop jumping in them. So the next time we pushed the leaves to the bottom of the sliding board and slid down into the leaves instead of jumping in them.I remember my dad saying that, that was the last straw. He had told us not to jump in them. My sister Kelly said that we did not jump in them we slid into them. This made my mom laugh because, she knew that we were right but still wrong. It was just like Mary and Laura sliding down the haystack and Pa telling them not to do it anymore. So the girls instead rolled down the haystack and when Pa asked them if they had slide down the stack they said no, they had rolled. :)
