Answer: A group of people gathered around the steps of a tavern for a slave auction.

2) What did Caesar come to the realization about? What is his plan now?
Answer: That he'll be careful and do his job well. He'll remember what all he has learned, "that old skeleton head won't get me."
Caeser made plans for his future. As soon as he is old enough, he is going to learn a skill, and be so good at it that he'll be hired out and make good wages.
