Harrietís sister were sold by Edward Brodas. Harriet felt sad
and scared because she was worried that one day it may be her being sold.

Who was Nat Turner? What impact did he have on Harriet Tubman?
Nat Turner was a young slave and he wanted to lead his people out of
slavery. In 1831, he started a rebellion which caused slave owners,
their wives and their children to be killed. Turner was caught and
hung. Harriet believed in Nat Turnerís idea and she wanted to lead
people to freedom.
