This passage is the turning point for Samuelís choice, because he decides to rescue soldiers form the marsh.  This is important because Samuel risks his life to save people who may own slaves, and that proves his unselfishness.

This passage is important, because we read about Samuelís bravery in saving the soldiers and Sana, and the events are exciting.
Q. What difficulties did Samuel experience while sailing to retrieve the rope?
A. The mast to Samuelís boat broke, and eventually the boat sank.  Samuel had to save Sana and swim to the shore.
