Page 38 Paragraph 2
"I'd wonder about the people I saw coming along..."

This paragraph is interesting and descriptive.  Carrie is describing a dead horse she sees in the road.
 

Page 49 Paragraph 8
"And what right does he have to me..."

This paragraph is important because it shows Carrie's frustration with not knowing who she is.  She is upset because she feels that whites can do anything and get away with it - even kidnap.
