1. Page 23, Par. 2, ìWe went north...î

I chose this passage because I found it to be intriguing.  It was the paragraph that described how the freedom trail looked so similar to the quilt.  It also contained simile in the last sentence ìIt was like being in a dream you already dreamed.î
 

2. Page 26, Par. 7, ìThe boat carried us...î

I chose this passage because it was very descriptive.  I was able to get a mental picture of Clara and Jack during their escape.
