This is a literature based
unit which is also integrated with Social Studies. This unit is designed
for fifth grade, and also for two grade levels below. Group 1 is
the on-level reading, in which the group will read, Who is Carrie?.
Group 2 is a fourth-grade-level group, and they will be reading, Nettie's
Trip South , Song of the Trees, "Wanted Dead or Alive",
and The Gold Cadillac. Group 3 is on third-grade-level, and
they will be reading, Nettie's Trip South, Sweet Clara and the
Freedom Quilt, The Drinking Gourd, and Wanted Dead or Alive.
