POEM
Just because IÕm Irish
DoesnÕt mean I have red hair and freckles
DoesnÕt mean IÕm a Òfighting IrishÓ
And doesnÕt mean IÕve got a temper.
Just because IÕm Irish
DoesnÕt mean I drink too much
DoesnÕt mean I believe in leprechauns
DoesnÕt mean IÕm Catholic.
Just because IÕm Irish
DoesnÕt mean I go crazy on Saint PatÕs Day
DoesnÕt mean I hate the English
DoesnÕt mean I speak with a brogue.
HavenÕt all the borders been erased?
IsnÕt the Atlantic just a 7-hour journey?
DonÕt we all travel the same Òsuper highwayÓ?
So whatÕs the big deal?
We are all a conglomeration of the same DNA.
