The purpose of this activity is to allow students to use writing, information, and computer skills in a super-creative way.

• The teacher must supply the class with objects that have distinct "real-life" purposes, and there must be enough for each student to choose at least one object.
• The student must then come up with a plan for their object.  They must decide what it might be used for, but not something that might be what it is usually for.  Creativity is the goal.
• The students will then be asked to write a short news piece about the object and its uses.
• Digital cameras will be used to take pictures of the students and their object.
• The photos will be adjusted in Adobe Photoshop so they fit appropriately in the article.
• Each student will develop a web page to publish their article & picture.  The teacher will create one "Master Page" for each of the student's pages to be linked to.
