Activity: This activity promotes group work and collaborating ideas. The students will get into pairs and choose an object out of the mystery box. The students will come up with an unique use for the object (something that it was not intended for) and type a short advertisement about the object. See the Student Instruction Page for a more detailed description of the activity itself.
Discussion: Bring the class back together the next day to present their object and article to the class. Allow the students to ask questions to other groups concerning their object.
Assessment: The students will be graded for the completion of
the lesson, correct grammar in the article, and following directions.
