Attention Students!!!!!

A pile of artifacts have been found in the hills of Moosejaw, Saskatchewan Canada.  Unfortunately, we cannot identify these objects, nor can we figure out what their function and purpose is.  The National Association of Elementary School Inventors has called upon you, to help them with this investigation.  Here is what they need you to do:

• Sit with your small group (assigned by teacher)
• When instructed, go up to the box of artifacts and pick one to do your project on
• Look over the object and brainstorm with your partner possible new uses for your artifact
• You and your partner need to come up with a name for your product
• Demonstrate the uses of your artifact by taking pictures of it in use with a digital camera
• After taking photographs of your object in use, each student will develop a marketing plan to promote their newfound product
• Each individual may work with their partners on creating an advertisement for either a newspaper or magazine to help sell their invention
• After creating their own advertisement, each student will save their work on a disk and turn it into the teacher.  The teacher will then compile all of the advertisements and put them on a web page

Students will not be graded on the object they choose.  However, the creativity of the function of their object will be taken into consideration.  However, the bulk of the grade in this class will come from the digital images and the literary write ups done about the invention itself.  The advertisements will be looked at for creativity, organization, originality of ideas, and photograph relativity.  Each of these categories will be broken down into the following point scale:

Originality	20 points
Photo relativity	20 points
