In this activity you
will be divided into small groups and asked to create a new invention using
old, odd objects. You will be using your imaginations, as well as,
your computer skills to make your invention as unique as possible.
Once complete, you will be able to share your new invention with your peers,
your parents, and on the internet.
Materials:
Inventor's Object Box
(filled with odd objects)
Digital Cameras
Zip Disks
Paper
Pencils
What To Do:
1.
Select an object from the box in which you would like to "reinvent."
2.
Find a new use for your object and give it a name. BE CREATIVE!!
3.
Take a picture of your new invention, in use, with a digital camera.
4.
Using Netscape Composer, and the help of your teacher, create a webpage
of your new invention. It should read like a newespaper article,
advertising the new product. Be sure to share background information,
who the product will benefit, and any other additional information you
feel necessary. Try to make your invention as unique as possible,
and by all means HAVE FUN!!
